Terrence Van Heflin brought suit against appellees1 for malicious prosecution, among other claims, after he was arrested for check fraud following the purchase of an automobile from Team Toyota of Lithia Springs. At the close of Heflin's evidence, the court directed a verdict in favor of the appellees on the malicious prosecution claim, concluding that Heflin had failed to establish a prima facie case as a matter of law...
