Marshall Montgomery, an inmate at Elmore Correctional Facility in Elmore, Alabama, appeals from the circuit court's dismissal of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. Montgomery filed his petition against the State Department of Corrections ("DOC"), alleging that the DOC had miscalculated the expiration date of his sentence.
