Defendant Derrick A. High appeals from a judgment of the Wake County Superior Court revoking his probation and activating his suspended sentence. In his sole argument on appeal, defendant contends that the trial court lacked jurisdiction to revoke his probation after the expiration of his probationary term because the State failed to make a "reasonable effort," as required by N.C. Gen.Stat. § 15A-1344(f) (2005), to notify him of the revocation hearing...
