The plaintiffs, Stanley Craig, Sybil Mason, and Cynthia Mason, filed an uninsured motorist claim under an insurance policy issued by defendant, United Automobile Insurance Company (United). The claim proceeded to arbitration. After the plaintiffs filed an action in the circuit court to confirm the arbitration award, United filed a counterclaim for breach of contract.
