Defendant was charged in an indictment with numerous sex offenses arising out of his alleged sexual abuse of his girlfriend's daughter (born in 1988). Pursuant to a written stipulation entered into by the parties, County Court reviewed the grand jury minutes to evaluate the sufficiency of the evidence and other potential defects regarding the counts in the indictment.
