On 15 April 2005, under case number 458-361, the defendant-appellee, Phil Dees ("Dees"), was charged with one count of possession of a stolen automobile, a violation of La. R.S. 14:69, and one count of possession of cocaine, a violation of La. R.S. 40:967. Dees pled not guilty at his arraignment on 20 April 2005.
