Joseph Peters appeals the judgment of the superior court requiring him to register as a sex offender under the amendments to OCGA § 42-1-12, the Sexual Offender Registry Statute, and to then OCGA § 42-1-13, the Sexual Offender Residence Statute, asserting that when he pled guilty to child molestation as a first offender, first offenders were not required to register.
