This appeal results from defendant Cindi Whiting's conviction on an aggravated battery indictment. The trial court denied defendant's posttrial motion for a new trial. Defendant has raised the issue of ineffective assistance of trial counsel, arguing her trial counsel overbore her decision to testify on her own behalf at trial. Accordingly, defendant claims she was deprived of her constitutional right to testify...
