PROCEDURAL HISTORY AND FACTS

¶ 1. On July 10, 2001, officers from the Vicksburg Police Department arrived at Room 406 of the Relax Inn to investigate a disturbance call. Darrell Oliver opened the door and, after conversing with the officers, allowed them to enter the room. One of the officers also noticed blood on the ground leading into Oliver's room.
