The defendant, Michael Jamal Davis, appeals from the judgment of the Court of Appeals of Virginia denying his petition for appeal from his conviction in a bench trial for object sexual penetration. Code § 18.2-67.2(A). The trial court sentenced the defendant to a term of three years in the penitentiary with two years suspended.
