STREIT, Justice.

The defendant, Randolph Tate, appeals from his conviction and sentence upon his guilty plea to voluntary absence. He contends his counsel was ineffective in permitting him to enter a guilty plea and failing to file a motion in arrest of judgment because the district court misinformed him of the maximum penalty for his crime. Because we conclude Tate has not established his ineffective-assistance-of-counsel claim, we affirm the decision of the court...
