Petitioner was convicted on November 10, 1987 of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and was sentenced to 11/3 to 4 years in prison. On December 14, 1987, he was received by the Department of Correctional Services (hereinafter DOCS) and credited with 75 days that he spent in jail from September 30, 1987 until December 13, 1987.
