OPINION BY KLEIN, J.:

¶ 1 The defendants in this consolidated group of cases were arrested under the provisions of the new Pennsylvania Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol ("DUI") law1 and refused to submit to chemical testing. The new DUI law significantly enhances penalties upon conviction for refusal to take a blood or breath test to determine the level of alcohol in his or her system...
