In Williams v. State, CACR05-1064 (Mar. 15, 2006), we reversed and dismissed Terry Williams's conviction for being a felon in possession of a firearm, and we reduced his conviction for possession of marijuana from a Class D felony to a Class A misdemeanor. Subsequently, the State filed a petition for rehearing, asserting that "a fundamental error has permeated" the appeal of appellant's conviction...
