Auto-Owners Insurance Company was sued by its insured, Grant Stepp d/b/a Grant Stepp Equipment Company, in the underlying lawsuit to collect on an insurance claim for damage to a John Deere 690 ELC excavator owned by Stepp and leased to a third party, Robert Parks.
