LAVORATO, Chief Justice.

A jury convicted Harold Arthur Duncan of first-degree murder. The victim was his wife of forty-three years, Karen Kay Duncan. Following sentencing, Harold appealed, contending the district court erred when it admitted character and bad-acts evidence as improper rebuttal evidence.
