Wilma E. McKinnon was injured on June 7, 2003, in an automobile collision. She sued the other driver, James Matthew Taylor, for damages, and served her uninsured motorist ("UM") insurance provider, Progressive Bayside Insurance Company, with a copy of her complaint.
