¶ 1 The State seeks to retry Quentin Ervin on charges of aggravated first degree murder and attempted first degree murder. In 1994, the State charged Ervin and his codefendant Eric Smiley with aggravated first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, and second degree felony murder for their involvement in the shooting death of a Seattle police officer. The jury was unable to agree on the first two charges for Ervin but found him guilty of felony...
