Plaintiff-Appellant Jon Anthony Jauch was injured while working as a seaman aboard a vessel owned and operated by Defendant-Appellee Nautical Services, Inc. ("Nautical"). Jauch sued Nautical in federal court seeking maintenance and cure under general maritime law and damages under the Jones Act.
