Opinion by Justice YAÑEZ.

Appellants1 appeal a summary judgment granted in favor of appellee, the City of Corpus Christi ("the City"). By two issues, appellants contend the trial court erred in granting summary judgment based on the City's affirmative defenses of collateral estoppel and res judicata because neither doctrine is applicable. We affirm.
