OPINION

Opinion by Justice MAZZANT.

John R. Tidrow appeals the trial court's judgment striking his answer and awarding Avi Roth actual and exemplary damages and attorney's fees. In two issues, Tidrow argues that the trial court failed to follow proper procedures before entering "death penalty" sanctions and Roth's causes of action are not sufficiently pleaded to support the default judgment. We reverse the trial court's judgment and remand for further proceedings...
