A temporary order of protection prohibiting defendant from having contact with his ex-wife's current husband (the victim) was issued in October 2004. Shortly thereafter, defendant confronted and verbally assailed the victim in a parking lot. Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of criminal contempt in the second degree and sentenced to 30 days in jail and three years of probation.
