HOLLIS HORTON, Justice.

This is an interlocutory appeal from the denial of a special appearance. See Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem.Code Ann. § 51.014(a)(7) (Vernon Supp.2005); Tex.R. Civ. P. 120a. We affirm in part and dismiss in part.

Background

During the discharge of its cargo on June 11, 2004, several crew members from the crude oil tanker M.T. SEATRANSPORT decided to travel into Port Arthur, Texas, to purchase items for themselves...
