Defendant and three codefendants were charged in an indictment with two counts of robbery in the first degree and two counts of robbery in the second degree after an acquaintance of one of the codefendants was lured to an apartment where he was tied up, beaten and robbed. Following a suppression hearing, defendant pleaded guilty to all counts of the indictment in exchange for County Court's promise to sentence him to between five and eight years in prison, to be followed...
