I presided at the trial of this action before a jury August 10 through 15, 2005. On August 15, 2005, the jury rendered a verdict awarding plaintiff damages of $300,000 in past pain and suffering and $700,000 in future pain and suffering over 10 years. Defendants have moved to reduce the verdict on both past and future pain and suffering on the ground that the verdict...
