Victoria Black agreed to sell her interest in a house jointly owned by her and her former husband in return for half of the equity, as per a marital settlement agreement. The former husband went to a lender to refinance the house, presumably to obtain liquidity in the equity, and the closing on the refinance took place before Metro Title, Inc. as escrow agent.
