This case concerns the collision of two boats and arises under our admiralty jurisdiction. See 28 U.S.C. § 1333. Plaintiff Jo Ellen Blanchard sued Defendants Carlos A. Cortés-Molina, his wife Ivonne Ortiz, and their conjugal partnership in tort.1 Defendants failed to appear, and the court below granted a default judgment of $265,000 in favor of Plaintiff.
