Based on a fight and stabbing that occurred into the early morning of July 14, 2001, about a double-parked automobile, a jury convicted the defendant of murder in the first degree, as a joint venturer, on the theory of extreme atrocity or cruelty.1 The defendant was tried with Bol Choeurn, who also was convicted of murder in the first degree, as a principal, on the theory of extreme atrocity or cruelty.
