On June 5, 2002, the United States filed a civil action against Vladas Zajanckauskas ("Zajanckauskas" or "appellant"), a resident of Millbury, Massachusetts and a naturalized citizen of the United States, to revoke Zajanckauskas's citizenship based on his participation in the notorious World War Two operation to clear and destroy the Warsaw Ghetto and on certain misrepresentations on his visa application.
