Plaintiffs Mark Donham and Heartwood, Inc. sued the United States Forest Service ("USFS") to compel the release of draft chapters of an ecological assessment under the Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA") and the Federal Advisory Committee Act ("FACA") after the USFS denied their initial request for the drafts.
