Timothy W. Richert appeals the summary judgment granted to his insurer, American Family Mutual Insurance Company (American Family), on Richert's claim for uninsured motorists coverage (UM) benefits. Richert contends that his automobile insurance policy provided broader coverage than the minimum required by Kansas statutes, entitling him to collect UM benefits in addition to the bodily injury liability payments received from the negligent driver's policy...
