{¶ 1} Defendants-appellants, Byron Bates and Dennis Thompson, appeal the small-claims judgment that the Noble County Court entered against them and in favor of plaintiffs-appellees, Joey and Stacey Laipply. Two issues are raised in this appeal. The first issue is whether the statute of limitations barred the Laipplys' claim.
