Defendant appeals from a judgment entered upon a jury verdict finding him guilty of second-degree assault, in violation of section 565.060 RSMo (2000), and armed criminal action, in violation of section 571.015 RSMo (2000), arising out of a stabbing. The jury assessed a sentence of one day in the county jail on the assault count and three years imprisonment on the armed criminal action count, and the trial court sentenced defendant to serve...
