William Camper challenges his involuntary civil commitment as a sexually violent predator pursuant to the "Jimmy Ryce Act," sections 394.910-.931, Florida Statutes (2002). He argues that, because he was mentally incompetent and could not participate in his defense, the trial court erred in going forward with the civil commitment proceedings.
