We granted certiorari to consider whether the district court abused its discretion when it granted defendant's motion to quash the bill of information filed against him after the State entered a nolle prosequi on the date of trial and subsequently reinstituted the proceedings. For the reasons that follow, we find the State had a legitimate reason for entering the nolle prosequi, did not violate defendant's statutory rights, and did not violate defendant...
