Aaron Wilson was convicted of one count of first degree murder and sentenced to death in August of 2002. Because Wilson was 17 years old at the time of the offense, the decision in Roper v. Simmons, 543 U.S. 551, 125 S.Ct. 1183, 161 L.Ed.2d 1 (2005), required the Louisiana Supreme Court to vacate Wilson's death sentence and remand this case to the district court with instructions to sentence Wilson to life imprisonment...
