The appellee, Michael Jackson Ofori, was indicted by the Grand Jury for Prince George's County for six separate counts involving controlled dangerous substances and handgun violations. He filed a pretrial motion in the Circuit Court for Prince George's County, seeking to have the physical evidence suppressed on the ground that the search that led to the evidence violated the Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution.
