Appellant, Richard David Hurst, was convicted by a jury sitting in the Circuit Court for Frederick County of first-degree rape, second-degree rape, first-degree sexual offense, second-degree sexual offense, kidnapping, and false imprisonment. He was sentenced to life imprisonment, without the possibility of parole, for the first-degree rape; life imprisonment, with the possibility of parole, for the first-degree sexual offense; and thirty years' imprisonment...
