¶ 1. In June of 2003, Steven Daniel Rumfelt was indicted in the Circuit Court of Yalobusha County for felony child abuse. After a three day trial, a jury found Rumfelt guilty of felony child abuse. Rumfelt filed a motion for judgment of acquittal or in the alternative, a motion for a new trial.
