By unanimous vote, the jury found defendant, Eric Wayne Jefferson, guilty as charged of the crime of armed robbery with a firearm in violation of La. R.S. 14:64 and La. R.S. 14:64.3. The trial court imposed a sentence of 30 years at hard labor without the benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence and an additional five years without benefits to run consecutively, as required by La.
