OPINION BY KELLY, J.:

¶ 1 Appellant, Stanley Maurice Treadwell, Jr., appeals from the order entered in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas, dismissing his petition filed pursuant to the Post Conviction Relief Act (PCRA).1 We hold that probation does not qualify as confinement under Pennsylvania Rule of Evidence 609. Accordingly, we affirm.
