Following a bench trial, defendant, William J. Jiles, was convicted of attempted residential burglary (720 ILCS 5/8-4(a), 19-3 (West 2002)), attempted burglary (720 ILCS 5/8-4(a), 19-1(a) (West 2002)), and possession of burglary tools (720 ILCS 5/19-2 (West 2002)) and sentenced to concurrent terms of 19, 7, and 6 years' imprisonment, respectively.
