An erstwhile romantic relationship between neighboring residents of a housing complex for the elderly and the disabled ended in a brutal assault. The complaining witness, Delphine Garnetto, testified that several months after the relationship had ended she was viciously attacked and stabbed outside her apartment by the knife-wielding defendant, Camillo Lorenzo.
