Plaintiff, Eva Harris, appeals from the trial court's granting of a motion for summary judgment in favor of defendant, the State of Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections. The trial court found that as to the State of Louisiana, Ms. Harris's exclusive remedy for her injuries from an incident that occurred on May 18, 2003 was through workers' compensation.
