Appellant, Russell Kim McGill ("McGill"), appeals his 70-month sentence imposed after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of firearms, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). In determining the appropriate sentence, the district court applied a base offense level of 24, pursuant to the United States Sentencing Guidelines ("U.S.S.G.") § 2K2.1(a)(2), based on its holding that McGill's two Alabama felony driving under the influence...
