Nicolas Mendoza was indicted in the United States District Court for the District of Utah on a charge of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, see 28 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1). He pleaded guilty to the charge but reserved his right to appeal the denial of his motion to suppress the evidence seized from his motor vehicle. On appeal he challenges that denial and also contends that the district judge should have disqualified...
