A jury convicted Thomas N. Johnson and Lamell T. Jones on several criminal counts including conspiring to possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of cocaine base (crack) in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1) and 846. The district court1 sentenced each of them to life in prison. Both Johnson and Jones appeal their respective convictions, primarily challenging
