Plaintiffs, Mary Ellen Schmitz and Ambrose Joseph Schmitz, brought suit against defendants, Steven Binette, M.D., Dr. Paul K. Rosenberg, Ltd., and Daniel Garvey, M.D., alleging damages for negligence stemming from a "bladder suspension procedure" performed by Dr. Binette on Mary.
