The Defendant, Randall J. Morain, was charged by bill of information with vehicular homicide, a violation of La. R.S. 14:32.1, and first degree vehicular negligent injuring, a violation of La.R.S. 14:39.2. The Defendant pled guilty to the charged offenses and was sentenced on August 1, 2005. For vehicular homicide, the Defendant was ordered to serve twenty-five years at hard labor, with eight years to be served without the benefit of parole, probation...
