This automatic appeal was filed on behalf of the defendant-appellant, Chauncey S. Starling, after he was sentenced to death following two separate convictions of Murder in the First Degree. The Superior Court originally sentenced Starling on June 10, 2004. Upon direct appeal, Starling's convictions were affirmed, but the two death sentences were vacated.
